No-Guilt Thanksgiving Dinner
Old school advice would tell you to use Thanksgiving Dinner as a “Cheat Day”. But have you ever wondered why cheat days don’t work for you? Its because the "cheat day" practice is actually disordered eating.
Food isn’t dirty or clean, and you’re not “cheating” if you eat something delicious. In fact, if we apply morals to our food, we only end up making ourselves feel guilty for the pumpkin pie and actually just eat more of it.
So instead of eating “clean” all week, overindulging on one day, and then feeling like garbage all weekend long…? Try listening to your body. Put your favorite foods on your plate and enjoy every bite. Check in with your body about how it’s feeling.
And if you want to go for a walk or do some core the next day? It's not a punishment for overindulging, it’s because movement feels good after a long day of cooking and dishes.
