Autumn Wellness
Whelp! It’s that time of the year again. Kids are going back to school, everyone’s hanging out inside, and cold/flu/covid is back on the rise. It’s more important than ever that we take extra precautions, so that you don’t have to cancel sessions and lose momentum!
Here are a few things that can help:
Get vaccinated. There’s a new covid vax and flu shots available now.
Wash your hands. (duh).
Wear a mask. If you’ve been on a plane or some other populated indoor event lately, please mask while you’re there.
Take your vitamins: You know about Vitamin C, but there’s also Vitamin A, D, Selenium and Zinc that help boost your immune system!
The last three of these can be found in pill-form, but are also easily found in Fish, Meat, Dairy and Whole Grains.
For Vitamins C and A, I make a couple jars of Fire Cider every fall. It’s got garlic, ginger, turmeric, onions, peppers, herbs and citrus fruits. Submerge them all in Apple Cider Vinegar and let that steep for 4 weeks on your counter. Then add a little honey to it, and drink it as a morning and evening wellness shot! Your immune system will thank you.
Sleeeeep. Seriously, it’s the absolute best way to protect yourself. Additionally, did you know that sleep is also when your body actually builds muscle? Yep. We break it down, in the gym, and you rebuild it when you sleep. More sleep = More strength!
For our part, we're disinfecting equipment regularly and allowing session reschedules if you do get sick. All we ask is that you please give us as much notice as possible, so that our trainers can offer the open session to anyone else that needs to reschedule.
